The Not-So Odd Couple- Part 3
Man I Miss Darius Miles... For Real!
Smokey
You may remember this homeless character from the short-lived, animated series “The PJ’s”. Smokey was rumored to have trained fighting rats under the name, "Ratman Crothers". Fellow PJ residents can often be heard yelling, "You damn stupid crackhead!"….Much like Donald Sterling’s mid-court interactions with Baron Davis…

Darius Miles
This lanky small forward was selected out of high school by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2000 NBA Draft. Miles left the Clipshow after the 2000-01 season in a trade to Cleveland. Coincidentally, like his doppelganger Smokey, Darius served a 10 game league-mandated suspension while with the Memphis Grizzlies for violating the team’s substance abuse policy.

“Well, it's... um... it's... Now don't tell me! Don't tell me!... It's, um...”
Pau Gasol
Former NBA Rookie of the Year, Pau Gasol has enjoyed a decent career. After humble beginnings with the Memphis Grizzlies, Gasol has enjoyed the past four seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. Although soft like puppy shit, Pau has earned a special place in the arid hearts of Laker fans. He will undoubtedly spend the next several seasons hovering near mediocrity in Lakerland.

Beaky Buzzard
Couch Potatoes and Thirty-somethings will recognize this dopey bird as Beaky Buzzard from the Bugs Bunny cartoons. Noted for being a dumb ass and mama’s boy, Beaky Buzzard’s goofy appearance and awkward motor skills make him a sight to see, not to mention very pau-like!

The Not-So Odd Couples- Part 1
When you spend as much time on the Internet as I do, your brain is inundated with information, statistics, video, and images. It strives to make this endless amount of information and imagery comprehensible. Occasionally, your brain makes unnatural connections seem natural, the abstract seem absolute, and makes a small forward seem cartoony and crackheadish… Take a look at these unnaturally natural connections from the world of L.A. sports and popular culture…
"Throw B. Fitch from the Train?"
Bill Fitch
You’ll remember Bill Fitch as the Clippers Head coach from 1994-1999. He led the Clipshow to the playoffs during the 1996-97 season, where the Utah Jazz swept their first-round series with the Fitch-led Clips.

Anne Ramsey
She is probably most famous for her roles as Mama Fratelli in The Goonies and as Mrs. Lift, Danny DeVito's mother, in Throw Momma from the Train… As you can see, in addition to her classic movie roles, she does a hell-of-a Bill Fitch impression!
